Faithful reconstruction and creative reconstruction are different jobs.
The same LTX-generated shot was reduced to 360p. Precise 2.6 protects the scene; Astra 2 uses a prompt to invent a more authored version of missing fine detail.

Precise 2.6 preserved the generated shot while rebuilding fine brass, foliage and glass detail at 1080p.

What enhancement can and cannot do
Does upscaling recover the original pixels?
No. It reconstructs a plausible higher-resolution result from the evidence in the source. Stronger models can create convincing detail, but that detail is still inferred.
Which video model should I try first?
Use Proteus Natural for restrained general restoration, Starlight Fast 2 for a stronger practical pass, Precise 2.6 when reconstruction quality matters most, and Astra 2 only when creative reinterpretation is acceptable.
Why do the examples use short clips?
Topaz processing cost and waiting time scale with duration and output resolution. Short reviewed clips make model differences inspectable before you commit a longer source.
Will denoise or restoration fix every defect?
No. Clipped highlights, severe blur, missing frames and compression damage may be irreversible. Compare a representative short section before processing an entire asset.
Test the difficult two seconds first.
Open the relevant Topaz family, process a representative crop or clip, and only then apply the chosen model to the full asset.
