Does Veo generate audio?

Yes. Veo creates audio with the video. Describe the sounds you want in your prompt, including dialogue, effects, or ambience.

Which durations and resolutions are available?

Choose 4, 6, or 8 seconds at 720p. Higher resolutions require 8 seconds. Standard and Fast support up to 4K; Lite supports up to 1080p. The workspace shows the available combinations.

Can I use my own images?

All three versions can animate an opening image. Standard and Fast also accept up to three reference images for subject guidance, with an 8-second duration. References and an opening image are separate input modes.

Can I create vertical video?

Yes. Choose 9:16 for portrait video or 16:9 for landscape video.
