How to get a convincing result
Record natural speech
Use a normal speaking pace and stable distance from the microphone. Avoid whispering unless that is the voice you want to reproduce.
Fix the source before the settings
Noise reduction can help a noisy recording, but a clean original is more reliable. Leave processing off when the source is already clean.
Test with a short script
After cloning, try a representative sentence in MiniMax Speech before generating a long narration.

Do I pay the cloning price every time I generate speech?
No. You pay once to create the voice ID. The saved voice can then be selected for later MiniMax Speech generations, which have their own much lower text-based price.
Can I clone another person's voice?
Only upload a recording and reproduce a voice when you have the necessary permission. Do not use the feature for impersonation, fraud, or deceptive content.
Is the cloned voice public?
No. Omnipix stores it as a private voice associated with your account and does not offer it as a public preset.
What if the clone does not sound right?
Try a cleaner, longer single-speaker recording. Background music, reverberation, strong noise, and several speakers make the result less reliable.
